Florida's 2014-2015 ESE Parent Survey is open until May 31st. Each year, the Florida Department of Education surveys parents of children with an individual educational plan to determine how well your child's school is partnering with you and promoting your involvement in your child's education. All states must collect this data as part of their State Performance Plan, as required under the Individuals with Disabilities Act. You can complete the survey online at http://www.esesurvey.com/.
Everyone wants to see children succeed in school and it can be frustrating when a child falls behind in learning. Flamingo Elementary uses a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) to help struggling students be successful in school. Parents play a critical role in supporting their child in school. To learn more about MTSS, please click here to view the attachment and then click here to view the video regarding MTSS.
Parents are welcome to provide input into the instructional and/or administrative performance evaluations. If you are interested, please contact our office by April 17, 2015, with your input.

Anonymous Reporting/Silence Hurts
In Broward County Public Schools, our goal is to ensure a safe learning environment. Implementing programs that address bullying, making personal connections with each student, and providing an anonymous system for reporting potentially dangerous situations are some of the ways we meet this goal. Please click here for an anonymous link to report any of these situations.
